LD Celulose has created a digital platform that shows available job openings related to works on the implementation stage of their Soluble Cellulose Plant. This new tool benefits both professionals seeking job opportunities and partner companies seeking workforce in the region to work on this phase of building the plant. The web address for the Jobs Platform is www.empregosconstrucao.com.br.

Vacancies registered in the platform are for different companies and positions, such as mason, ironworker , construction supervisor or project assistant, among others. The platform allows people to browse the openings available and apply for them immediately. Resumés can also be uploaded to the talents database, for inclusion in future selective processes. As and when the companies need employees, new openings will be registered in the portal.

According to Ana Covacic, LD Celulose’s community relationship specialist, this is another resource to make the hiring process quicker and easier, filling the openings with local professionals. “Most of these openings don’t require any qualifications at all, only that they have completed or are completing middle school. However, many companies urgently need to fill the openings as the construction progresses in line with the implementation schedule. We hope the platform makes the process of hiring the workforce more inclusive, faster and more efficient, and that more local professionals are able to be a part of such an important project.”

About LD Celulose

LD Celulose S.A. is a joint venture between the Austrian company Lenzing and the Brazilian company Duratex, formed to set up one of the largest soluble cellulose plants in the world. With an investment of R$ 5.2 billion, the plant is being built in the Triângulo Mineiro region, between the cities of Indianópolis and Araguari. Once it starts operating in 2022, it will produce 500 thousand tons of soluble cellulose per year. The special cellulose fibers produced by LD will be used in the textile industry, generating fabrics with innovation, sustainability and high technology. When the plant starts operating, it will create around 1,100 direct jobs, thus boosting the social and economic development of the entire region.
