We started the cooking of the chips in the digesters of the factory, and with this we started the equipment and the ramp-up of our production. "The beginning of the cooking process is the kick-off for all the areas to start operating. We will continue with the end of assembly and now the beginning of operation," explains the project director, Silvio Costa.
For our CEO, Luís Künzel, this achievement was thanks to the expertise of two great companies, plus excellent professionals, "We were able to execute the project amidst a pandemic covid-19 scenario like the one we faced in the last two years. It is a great achievement and we should celebrate," he highlights.
Sequentially, all areas of the LD Celulose plant start operating: Cooking, Wood Handling, Fiberline, Drying and Baling, Logistics, Energy Generation, and Recovery Boiler and Utilities.
In the coming days and with a good performance of all the areas, we will produce the first bale and make the official release of our "fardin".
