LD Celulose, in partnership with the contracted companies, will begin the distribuction of leftover wood from the mill construction process. The entities that develop social work with the community in surrouding cities will be prioritized. The interested must send an email to faleconosco@lenzing.com with the subject “Cadastro para doação de madeiras” (Wood donation register) and informations abour the entity.
Most of the remaining material is provenient of the packaging of machinery bought to the mill construction (pallets, coils, boards, etc), and can be reused in diferente ways, like construction, craftmanship or decoration. This action is an initiative of the LD Celulose’s Sustainability área, that has the sustainable development in all the production chain as a commitment. “This initiative creates a two way benefit, contributing to the construction process circularity, and, in the other hand, fomenting the local income formation”, emphasizes Ana Covacic, LD Celulose’s community relations specialist.
The contracted companies interested in destiny its material will contact the registered entities to make the delivery. The benefited entities have the commitment to prove in what way the material was used.
