On this Wednesday afternoon, LD Celulose inaugurated its Social-Environmental Education Center (CESA), another important achievement of the company. Located in the Nova Monte Carmelo farm, the space presents, in a playful and informative way, contents about the beginning of LD Celulose's history in the region, the eucalyptus forest, the sustainable forest management, the manufacturing process of the raw material and its main destinations, besides covering the company's environmental and social responsibility. Present at the inauguration were authorities from the region, LD CEO Luis Künzel, company managers and teams from the Sustainability and Forestry areas. With CESA, LD Celulose intends to promote the dissemination of information about sustainable development and social and environmental responsibility. "It is important to remember that CESA is more than just a physical structure that offers socio-environmental education activities. The purpose of this space is to contribute to the formation of social values, knowledge and attitudes towards environmental conservation," says Fernanda Ribeiro, LD Celulose's Environmental Engineer in charge of the project. Visitors will find a modern and interactive space, full of information about the sustainable production process and curiosities about dissolving wood pulp, in addition to relevant data about the Cerrado biome, guidelines on environmental preservation and the main social programs. CESA will be open to the public for visits by appointment, which will be made soon through the LD's website.
