LD Celulose presents PEA prizes

On September 3^rd LD Celulose held the award ceremony for the three non-profit associations chosen by Environmental Education Program's (PEA) public notice. The ceremony took place in the auditorium of Sicoob Aracoop, in Araguari, with the presence of representatives from the company and the three winning associations: Associação Recreativa Bloco, Associação Zulu Cufa and Associação Amigos de Francisco. In first place was project Bloco Maculele’s Caravana Ambiental do Triângulo, which received R$ 60,000. Second place went to the project Cerrado e Água – educação ambiental e revegetação da vertente na Vereda das Araras em Araguari, by Zulu Cufa association. In third place, Amigos de Francisco ‘s project Alimentação Sustentável. The second and third places received R$ 20,000 each, with R$ 100,000 total of LD's investment in regional environmental education actions. The grants will fund those three projects' activities, which will be accompanied during three months by LD Celulose and by the specialized consultancy company EKOS Planejamento Ambiental.
